Currently the Christmas Pullman, with the coach decorated and crackers on the table. Excellent as ever, and comes with a hot mince pie to finish on the house (train?). Unfortunately now £45 for two courses, £10 more than my quite generous evening meal expenses.

That does look very very nice. Sadly for me, no Pullman before the Spring.

The Christmas menu on offer this month. Crew said last night they had been very busy so far this month, I boarded with 3 to dine from Bristol and they’d done a full service for those getting off there already.

This thread has been a revelation to me in terms of what GWR offer in 1st…knew about Pullman and occasionally getting the wine but everything else they had kept quiet. Accepting they are not the best catering offering (I miss Travelling Chef) I find their staff excellent almost all the time. Have got some Bristol - Paddington runs in the next month, will attempt to sample as much as I can

You don't get much Bristol to Paddington anynore. Maybe a hot drink and a biscuit and that is about it.

Caught the Swansea Pullman from Reading last Thursday, only one table left which we took. Usual excellent service and down to £40 for two courses - plus unexpectedly 20% off with GWR Gold Rewards.

Shared first class this morning with one Mark Hopwood. Only complaint was the hot water for tea was not very hot!

Full Pullman on the 1705 London to Swansea today, and a new menu for the summer. Six steaks were sold which was impressive!

Sounds good!
I'm guessing the list of Pullman services on the GWR website isn't accurate, as it doesn't mention the 17:05 from Paddington, although Realtime Trains does state it offers a Restaurant service.

It’s been brought forward due to engineering work, should go back to the usual 1748 once it’s completed.

Just booked onto the Pullman from Exeter in a few weeks time - surprised to see only 5 places left this far out!

The Swansea one will do 2-3 sittings if busy, and even serve into the adjoining coach if possible. I’ve never not eaten, even if I have had to bide my time elsewhere before being invited through.

Depending on the day the dinner services can get fully booked. I’ve seen them turn away walk ups for lack of food.
