Good Afternoon all
Yesterday I was caught at the ticket barrier of Paddington coming from Reading for having short fared, interviewed under caution, and informed that it would be sent into the GWR Revenue Office. I had done so since I moved in with a friend temporarily in Reading while commuting to London for a summer internship. I won't justify it, the sheer magnitude of how idiotic I was acting has quickly dawned on me. I've been frankly becoming despondent at this, as I just managed to join uni again for a career change and am planning to join the foreign office, all of which would be ruined if its taken to court and I can't wholly see what to do with life if that happened. The investigation will likely take 2-3 months according to the ticket officer. How should I proceed going forward? I already bought a monthly season ticket to cover my train fare to ensure I stick to the straight and narrow
