Morning all,
I have had a claim for delay repay declined by GWR saying that information was missing.
I submitted the claim via the paper form enclosing tickets and a covering letter so do not understand what information was missing.
They have turned this into an online claim with an option to appeal.
The issue I have is that because they took so long to decline the claim the date of travel can no longer be entered on the online form as it doesn't meet the 28 day criteria. I would stand to get back 100% of the ticket cost as I was delayed by over an hour but can't find any way to appeal the claim without using the online form and the above issue. Any advice gratefully received. I enquired at the ticket office for any other means of contacting delay reply but basically got a 'there isn't any' answer.

There is indeed a way. Send a letter back to them explaining their error to FREEPOST GWR Delay Repay. Alternatively, email their Customer Service Department via their website or give them a call to explain the situation. If you have no joy on the phone though, I would put something in writing.
