I’m trying to make a delay claim on the GWR website for a journey I made last week, but am finding it difficult to work out how I go about it.
The journey affected was Paddington to Cholsey using a Reading to Zone 1-6 return travel card in combination with my annual Cholsey to Reading season ticket.
I had planned to catch 2N46 from Paddington but this was cancelled. This would have got me in Cholsey at 22:16. In the end, I got into Cholsey at 22:50 using 2N54.
GWR website says I cannot claim compensation on a season ticket, but I believe I’m still entitled to put a claim in for the Reading to Z1-6 ticket portion. However that potion of my journey wasn’t delayed (I could have caught a fast train to Reading, but still would have ended up on the same stopper to Cholsey anyway). There is no section (as far as I can see) on the online claim system for me to explain my journey in detail. I therefore feel my claim will be rejected.
I just wanted to get some advice from the forum as to the best way to claim (if anyone has put in a similar delay claim before).
Thanks
