Hi, I’m going for Conductor with GWR. I was just wondering if there is a possibility of a part time contract? I’ve not seen part time advertised.

Initially no, however you (once fully competent) have a right to ASK for part time working.

I know one guard at Bristol had it whilst her baby was very young m.

It doesn't seem to be something that the TOCs have got their head around. Gatwick Express do part time and a friend that is a Southern driver has just gone part time as a trial but he had to find another driver that also wanted part time before the company would consider it. Not really sure why they don't look at job share, always got cover for leave between them.
