And of course (I always forget it too) a Turbo on weekday mornings now, using the rather ingenious Worcester split.

Replace this with an 80x and it could be a revival of the old Cotswold & Malvern Express.

A coupe more pics from today at Merchant Park, Newton Aycliffe.

Looks like a depot today, in the picture of 4 IEP's, from left to right are:-

800003 GWR, 800101 VTEC, 4 carriages of either 801001 or 800301 (depending on the gossip mill) GWR and 800001 GWR. Also there is 1 uid carriage with no window stickers to id its identity.

800002 is working as a five car set to Swindon from North Pole IEP Depot.

800001 has been noted working from Merchant Park Sidings, it's current base. But tonight's run to Stevenage is courtesy of 800101. I reckon if any IEP would head to Stoke Gifford on Friday it would be 800101.

800004 is currently sat at Stoke Gifford, and hasn't moved in a while.

Went out to watch an 800 pass Werrington junction last night, I was impressed at how quiet and stealthy it was when it went past!. Lights were really bright too.

It was going some as it when by, but it was definitely slowing as it passed me. (Interesting OT fact it followed the same path as what I believe to be the TPO.)

On the railcam at York two 5 car units tonight on 5X80. Crossed to the up slow line at Skelton bridge to let 1E29 past then back to fast Skelton Jcn and through platform 5.

They are new, so will need some wear and tear. Although I must admit, that's EXACTLY what they said about the 180's and look at them now... Please god no.
