this looks superb to me, as mentioned above it is a hell of a lot easier to just tap in and out rather than decide what tickets you need to buy - I always think this is one reason why london travel seems so easy. Plus there is an option to add a railcard. I only wish that you could use just a contactless card but I imagine this would be a lot harder for them to implement

Yeah the system uses existing ITSO readers at smaller stations, I doubt they even have the capability to read cards.
