Oh dear. It's all gone a bit wrong at Paddington today. Early this morning, a broken down HEx train at Ealing Broadway was delaying everything in by about 20 minutes. Tonight though, due to vandalism, the whole service has been decimated. I've just travelled back to Maidenhead, and judging by the latest live departure boards for Paddington I got off very lightly with a 30 minute delay.

Most of the long distance services are starting/terminating at Reading, all of the lower Thames Valley fast Maidenhead Twyford rush hour trains are cancelled, and the stoppers are running only a half hourly service calling all stations bar Acton, West Ealing & Hanwell.

I don't know exactly what the vandalism was, but if they catch whoever is responsible I reckon they should be put in the stocks at Paddington for the commuters to chuck rotten veg at them <D

Signalling cables were stolen from the West Drayton area - stopping services were around 60 down going towards Paddington at around 4pm..
