GW Conductor - additions to basic and rota

Hi

Does anyone know what the likely rota would be for a guard for GWR (based in Westbury)? It's a 35 hour week so I presume Sunday outside?
Also the basic after training (would this be after 12 months?) is just over £32k. Does anyone know how much would be added to this for working Sundays and night hours?

Absolutely nothing added for shift work. That's all part and parcel of the salary.

If you work your booked Sundays it's worth around 3k a year. Plus commission, I can't remember the % off hand but how much you make there depends on how active you are with tickets

Commission is 1% for the first £1000 and 5% after that . The commission period is 2 weeks either side of payday

Currently Sundays is paid at time and 1/4 but we have a period where is you work ypur booked Sundays after a set peroid you get an extra 1/2 added to the Sunday working so it ends up being time 3/4s for Sunday's if that makes sense .
Also we are kind of going through harmonisation at the moment to bring Sundays in to the working week . How that will effect Westbury link work will depend on those who opt in for the harmonisation and those who stay on current t&c's

No it'll remain a 35hr week. There was a package offered recently that the RMT instructed it's members to reject, which caused some ill-feeling from the membership who thought it was a decent deal. Some guards and the RMT seem to think they're going to get a lot more from it than the company are going to give, several times what drivers are rumoured to be being offered!
