I can't remember the mileage of Alfrey's Bridge (between Southcote Jn and Basingstoke) but I do remember that it's mileage is a whole mile (say 48M 00ch). The bridge plate, as I saw it during the W10 programme, gave it as 47M 80ch! Doesn't anyone check anything any more?

Railwaydatacentre’s web page for the route WPH1 does show both Guilford (No D) and Yorke’s Bridge.

So assuming that’s a properly sourced copy of NR’s filed info, it’s an error with the base data, (garbage in garbage out), and it’s only the Farncombe for Worplesdon where the sign maker has erred big time...
