Guildford-Canturbury

Hi. On Sunday, I am looking to go to Canterbury and return, via London, and was wondering what the cheapest way for me to do it with a travelcard included was?

I do not know quite when I am travelling. So basically my journey is Guildford-Waterloo-travel around London on my travelcard-St Pancras-Canterbury -London-Guildford.

So far, it seems like the best is a Guildford yo London off peak day travelcard plus London- Canterbury off peak day return. This seems rather pricey at £30 ish with railcard.
