Guide Bridge to Hebden Bridge

Morning,

Before, a single from Guide Bridge to Hebden Bridge was valid for travel via Man Picc and Leeds, which worked out cheaper than buying a straight single from MAN - LDS.

Could somebody tell me if this is still the case?

No, the ticket is only valid via Manchester Victoria

No. Direct to/from Manchester - Hebden Bridge on Northern services only.

If you’re just looking to travel on TPE between Manchester and Leeds your cheapest option would be an advance or split ticketing (or a combination thereof’ if actually travelling to Hebden Bridge)

Advances are currently only about £3 cheaper than an open ticket. I'll have a look around anyway

Noted that all Guide Bridge->Hebden Bridge tickets seem to be routed "via Todmorden".

So, which way/route(s)/services can the OP legitimately travel on if actually travelling via these two stations?

▪︎Guide Bridge ->Manchester Piccadilly. (Northern).

▪︎ Manchester Piccadilly->Manchester Victoria. (Probably TPE if direct).

(Metrolink transfer across Manchester would presumably need a separate additional extra ticket).

▪︎Manchester Victoria->Hebden Bridge (via Todmorden). (Northern).

I’d also imagine you could travel from Guide Bridge to Stalybridge on the irregular parliamentary service and change for the Nothern services to Manchester Victoria
