Ah OK, I did have to type the last bit into translate. Shouldn't have trusted it...

Je detecte l'Irlande...

Dass ist ziemlich gut, mein Freund!

Seen as no-one seems interested in the open floor...

Hartelijk dank!

You seem somewhat of a linguist. French and German? Not bad. You should be able to take a stab at the above IMHO. Veel succes ermee!

I have never sat a Dutch lesson in my life! However, it is like an intermediate between English and German, so I should be able to give it a decent effort...

Heartful thanks! That is how many years it is since I spoke Dutch. Therefore I am upset because I find that it is a nice language. There are few chances to speak it when you live in north English Bradford :(

I've had to insert a few words, mostly connectives, but I think that's the general gist of it. I got to the word "Dutch" no trouble at all!

Not bad. Basically Herzlichen Dank, It is many years since I spoke Dutch. Because of this I am disappointed because I find it a great language. Unfortunately there are few chances to speak it when you live in Bradford in the North of England.

The next bit is "Dutch is easier than German. Too much grammar and too many irregular forms, especially with plurals".

Pretty good, but as you say it is an intermediate language. Once you know two Germanic languages (e.g. English and Dutch), it is a lot easier to learn a third (e.g. German).

The answer is now with Thumper. Whichever of us is around will host the picture in the morning (probably not me!)...

Yep that's definitely a C3K, I remember a part of Ivo's story from his NIR adventure which included the opportunity to take a cab shot ;)

Some month of Sundays that was!

Seen as the floor is open...

What stock does this roof plate belong to?

Looks very much like something by Bombardier. Can't be bothered to guess them all though, so I'll say 170, then 377, then leave well alone...

I assume you mean the NIR 450.

Not that it matters, because it isn't the English one either! This unit's class does NOT end in 0.

At the risk of being predictable (since I think this where you are going with this...) - Class 175?

Would like to know what you thought I was going to say!

Class 221? Or is this just getting worse? :P

You're getting worse now. And it's not a 156 either.

I'm not going to reveal what I thought you were about to say because said train is the answer!
