I was torn between that and a 150. I doubt this will last long.

Going by the colour, I suspect it's a Network Rail thing. Can't think of anything with a big square hole, though - I'll take a punt at a class 31.

Not a 31 Gus, I'm quite glad in a way that you got it wrong as if Ash Bridge or Dhassell looked at it they'd rumble me straight away...
You got the Network Rail bit right. :)

It's not quite one of those. It's slightly different and has a more specific job.

It must be one of those new railgrinding units they've been testing/commissioning up at Okehampton Mr C?

Thanks Mr Cowley, this is the best I can offer at the moment and I really don't think it will last long...

Sorry to say...No

Computer says no. Damn.

It is GWR.

It is not a 153, nor an 800. Nor its it Mk3 whether HST trailer or loco-hauled. Was that "no" a "no, it's not a Sprinter", or specifically "no, it's not a 153"?

Straws. Clutching. :)

I'm going to sleep on it (I'm a man of action).

Ah thanks. Great photo, it was the funny thing in the cab window that was confusing.
Have a go at this one then
(I'm getting a bit short of photos now I must say).
