Hey, you shouldn't be scared there Mr C ;)

But I'm sorry to inform you that it's not a DVT of any operator, anyway perhaps it's time now for a little assistance so I'd better add that's not any type of coaching stock or freight vehicle and if you want the shot expanded a little just let me know.

Not sure if I've done this one yet? This is a wiper that wasn't wiping at the time.

It looks more HST powercar to me, though you should never underestimate Mr Cowley as he has been known to post a shot of his van here in the past, personally I wouldn't put it past him to have given it a yellow front panel just to trick us ;)

:lol: The van needs a wash at the moment, so this was the best I could do.
Your turn...

Is it a MK2 DRS carriage on the Cumbrian coast line? (Between Foxfield and Green Road?) I'm not au fait with the codes for carriages. TSO, BSK, or DBSO?

It is Karl and probably somewhere close to where you state, it would have been a TSO the DBSOs had not quite entered service then.

Well I've got to go to Tescos with Mrs C, so you can all suffer this while I suffer that...

I know there are some white painted rails in the vicinity of Exeter St Davids (is that to deflect the hot summer sun?) never seen it up in these parts, obvious reason for that I suppose, anyway I'm guessing that could be a class 66 down in Exeter?

Pah. I thought that was really hard. Yes the white painted rails that reflect the intense heat that we get down here. I'd have got a better shot but all palm trees kept getting in the way. :D

Seriously though, I've only ever seen those white painted rails in the more southerly locations, speaking of stations with palm trees Lostwithiel springs to mind, got some nice shots of 37s on Fowey China Clay trains framed between them back in the early 90s :D

Sorry I'm rambling on a bit now, try this...

Well I had no idea until Mr Lunatic said it was a Freightliner one, so leaping on the back of his guess I'll go for a FL 70?

OK thank you, let's have a go. I've had a root through my old hard drive. Does this one bring back any memories?.....

Some early Mk 2 vehicles had that style of lighting button as well.

There's a few still mainline listed; I'll go for a Mk 2 numbered between 5157 and 5487.
