I will tell you that this station has been used in Guess the Station precisely once before now (I've checked using the Search function; OxtedL will surely be able to confirm as much later if the census thing is up to date )

A bit of a long shot: Kings Lynn?

Ne'er been to King's Lynn, and I am still only using shots I personally have taken.

One thing about it (and Wickford) does work though: It is an electrified bay platform. The bay is obvious; the OHLE not quite so obvious.

Kings Lynn has appeared twice, both times put up by Track Basher.

I do hope I don't need to compile a list of stations by number of appearances? That could be agonising...

I had realised about Wellington, though. It gets to a point where I just guess.

Not Colchester. This station has fewer platforms than it.

If you have the full file of stations that have appeared, can you not just sort them by name and add a COUNT function to each station, before sorting again by the total number of appearances? If you're not sure how to, or what I mean, I could do it for you.

I realised it was electrified. I've never been to Kings Lynn station, I've only been into the goods yard but Quail suggests that one of the servicable platforms is shorter than the other, hence the guess. I'm a little stumped, but we'll try the short platform on the eastern side of Norwich.

Seven Kings doesn't have a bay platform.

I will make this dead easy now: This station is managed by c2c. You now have a choice of 25, of which only three fit every clue I have given, not including the clue about uses in this thread. I'm pretty sure one of them has appeared at least twice; I got it right one time!

Shoeburyness, my home station for most of the first half of my life to date, is the correct answer. This picture, of Platform 3, was taken during this year's airshow weekend, specifically Sunday 29th May, with me about to leave for Portsmouth. This was effectively a chance shot, because I should have been in Bath - I was only back home because my mother had to go into hospital.

If I used the whole picture though it would have lasted 30 seconds - there is a 357 on Platform 2!

For the record, the only other stations that matched every clue besides the usage one were Southend Central - sorry Matt! - and Upminster, both of which have appeared more than once already. Also, *Matt*, seen as you've been to SRY in the last year, I'm a bit disappointed in you!
