It's a Swindon class 120 Cross-Country unit, but this isn't Guess the Class, although it does have a set number, which would suggest WR. But as it's nowhere near Taunton, somewhere in Wales, perhaps?
Although they were used in Scotland as well, weren't they...

Darn, too easy two clues did for me yow! tis Elgin East on the old Lossiemouth branch, a mid day local from Inverness terminated here as it had done for many years to connect with the branch service - when the branch closed it continued to run...sort of empty and for no purpose it no longer runs.
