Although it is the second nearest station to home I have never caught the train there because of the limited service. I cannot even recall stopping there and very rarely travel west by train.

That last one has suddenly made me concerned for everyone's welfare... :D We have had at least 1700 just like it correctly identified on the thread and yet paul got it in one.

Not that I haven't done my fair share of completely woooah things on here.

Weather should give you a clue on this one.

Correct country but not the right line.

EDIT: Retrospectively it could be argued that it is the right line as there seem to be one or two through services.

Well done. :D I had secretly hoped that someone might try and take us on a tour of Glasgow but you of course saw right through that.

Yay :D

The OHLE had a very ECML look about it so after your second clue I thought it could only be one of the stations between Carstairs and Haymarket.

Here's the next one anyway:

I'm thinking either Tyneside or Brum.

Thinking Brum, Lichfield?

Open floor if so, going to bed.

Selly Oak it is.

We hadn't had a cross city line station for at least a week which I felt was far too long

I do indeed have the answer.

I'm going to recommend that some guesses would be the obvious way to develop the correct answer... :D

No. But I would have said that was a decent guess. :)
