Ah.... then it must be the country end of Balham..... and a wide angle lens is making the platforms look wider than they are...?

The chimney sticking up in the background rang a bell with me... that side of the station is one of the few major places in the middle of London that hasn't been ruined with modern architecture yet!! :)

I'm delving into my archives again for the next one...

Once upon a time, I found 73 109 and 930 202 parked up at a specific station... which one? There's more than enough clues here...

12 days and no suggestions so far. There's an identical shelter at Silecroft but the platform is wrong. Maybe it's a useful pointer though.

It looks like a northern station presumably in area of red sandstone, so we are talking most likely cumbria coast north of st bees, some of the newcastle carlisle line, or possibly in cheshire somewhere

Got there eventually. It's Harrington, though why the sign on the fence says '2' in your picture and '1' in the Streetview picture is a bit of a mystery.
Interesting! A trawl of youtube suggests that this was indeed wrong in 2022 when the streetview images were taken but was fixed by summer 2023.
Looks like prior to the wrong sign being put up there wasn't any signage for platform numbers.

The wrong signage probably dates from the rebrand c.2021. https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...itish-railways-design-rail-alphabet-2.220286/
