I have been looking at the thread, and can see no recent references to the last two stations on the leaderboard, so KEEP GOING! ;)

Paul, I have no clue. At all. Pewsey?

Can you confirm it is the Virgin Trains station we are looking for? Rugby?

With the three guesses so far, we've been moving closer to the answer, but there's still a way to go. Another clue is the area this station is in is home to a power station, a sewage treatment works and chemical manufacturing plants.

Bridgwater? Surrounding area?

We're looking for two stations served by Virgin, yes.

Closest yet but go a bit further north now. Another clue: That building on the platform is a hairdressers.

As for the board, if it ain't Rugby then Stoke-on-Trent?

Carlisle and Preston for the VT stations?

Picture though, dunno, Immingham?

Immingham is miles away.

That makes it Avonmouth, or nearby?

Preston is on the leaderboard, well done IPT. Carlisle was already there. One more to go. Also served by ATW.

Can I apologise if anyone had already said that without me noticing, and if anyone has already said the remaining one, likewise...

It is indeed platform 1 at Avonmouth.

As for the board -- Stockport?

That's a nice shot, I couldn't find any similar ones, so really doubted that! ;)

Sneakily changed there! Neither of the Warrington stations appears to have ever been put up on the thread. Which is extremely odd. Perhaps someone could sneak them in at some point soon?

Stockport has only appeared 3 times.

I will leave the floor until the morning, if someone else desperately wants it before then, then take it. :D

I promised myself I would say Stockport after Stoke, only to forget.... but thanks for covering both bases. You said it wasn't a Welsh station either I believe, so Chester is next on the list......

Perhaps Warrington could be the new Lowestoft? :D

Hi Hydro,

I'm currently tying up some loose ends on the guess the station thread (as part of the census project thingy), and I've noticed that we never seem to have got to the bottom of the picture you put up in the thread! :D

Can you shed any light on this?

Many thanks,
OxtedL

Lordy, I forgot about that one. I left it hanging after posting it and going to work for a week without the internet. It's Walmer!
So congratulations to Coxster on that!

Wonder if anyone will post a couple of Lowestoft now, just to knock it up a bit :)

Also thanks to OxtedL and company for taking their time (of which they may have too much :P) to do the census. Oxted - I'll get to you at some point to see if there is anything else to do as I may have a little time to spare and have kept saying I will help :)

I would love to take the floor (I have tonnes of possibles for this quiz, few now left for Guess the UK Train Class) but given the time and not knowing when I'll be on tomorrow, I will have to pass for now :(

Not Wetherby nor Cherry Tree.

It does look northern doesn't it? That's why I picked this picture as it is rather deceptive. Nobody has been near as yet.

I want to think the colour scheme puts it in some kind of Brunel-ish land, but have no further inpsiration on the matter. So... Cogan?

That's an inspired guess. You're the closest yet. Not Cogan though.
