The old lady sitting on the bench and the barbed wire on the brick wall....could it be a care home? ;)

Ok. I'm impressed. Although perhaps the "location: Kent" helps...

Sevenoaks it is.

If it's snow, then is it close to home, TB?

That doesn't help me much, but... Llanelli?? (cringes)

The sweep stake is a bit of a fail at the moment, could I have some more takers please! :D Some suggestions: Preston, York, Coventry, Peterborough, Newport, Carlisle...

No not near home.

OK a clue. This is a normal service train on it's normal route of operation and the picture is taken out of the train window and not through one.

Think about that.

Pembrey & Burry Port?

Oxted, what is the sweepstake for. I have probably missed it whilst offline, I don't tend to read through such posts as I don't have the time (apart from when doing census analysis, I will probably find it in a couple of weeks time).

Most pics posted for a station. Lowestoft is already taken (and will probably win, it's certainly in the lead at the moment with 3000 posts to go), but it could be close, so "prizes" for the runner-up :D

Spalding? :p

That makes Pembrey wrong then.
Analysing the clue. It is clearly a double track line. Assuming the photograph is modern and taken on BR, it is taken from a droplight window, so either on a HST or hauled set (I think that only includes the sleepers, Gerald and Scottish bits at the moment). I will assume it is off the Western and not in Wales.

I think I spy a signalbox and crossing beyond the footbridge. Blair Atholl fits, so I'll try that.

I'll go for Blackburn in the sweepstake then, if it isn't taken.

If you're wrong, then I think we're wrong about the HML. In which case, I don't know, because the Fife Circle is entirely controlled by Edinburgh PSB.
