Ardlui is correct.

If I had my way, ScotRail drivers would be banned from this thread for at least a week after I've been to Scotland.

From Guess the UK Train Class:

Listen chaps, if we're going to give Guess the Station a run for its money, we need to get a wiggle on. They've had dozens of posts this evening, so let's get the finger out.

Traitor! :D

Many of us play both! It's just that this is easier to accumulate.

Well, ScotRail traincrew then! The ScotRail guard on board the 18:21 ex-Queen Street had plenty of time to drink in the atmosphere at Ardlui on Wednesday just past, as we were there for 25 minutes waiting for a southbound working that had 'hit a cow'. I looked for blood and steaks on the cowcatcher of said working and there were none though.........

What can I say? I'm a turncoat, caught red-handed (and not in a proddy way, CarterUSM!)

Did they really say cow? I'd have said coo!

So it wasn't you then? Actually it was the driver that told me this. Am I right that a Glasgow crew works to Ardlui and back, and Fort William/Oban men swap over there? The guard said very little, and in fact *was* very little, being only about 5' tall.

Oi!

I've posted enough for one night, to be fair, so I shan't be on too much longer. Getting tired as well! And that's allowing for my having slept for some of the afternoon!

Taunton.

No it wasn't. I do agree about Bellarena being obscure though! My shot - which is NOT in play remember! - was taken from outside, and there is no reason to get off at Bellarena (unless a long wait for another CAF appeals!).

Barnstaple and Taunton are a little bit wrong I'm afraid.

Or you are a student who lives in Limavady, and have got daddy to drive miles from the town so that you can save a couple of £ on an ISIC discounted rail fare over the full fare bus.

No, I have to work out the other Glasgow terminus. Yeah, I think that is the changeover point for the 1821, I think the Queen St crew work as far as Crianlarich on the morning service though, and as far as Rannoch on the sleeper.

That, I hadn't thought of. Also, there is the scenery, which is epic! I had never seen hills that rise into the clouds on non-foggy days before I went that way!

Let's try something a bit more out there. East Grinstead.

Neither. There are two 'e's in the station name though.
