You can take the boy out of Staffordshire, but you can't take Staffordshire out of the boy...........

I'd rule out the Buxton Line, that's firmly 150/2 and 156 territory. A Northern single line station on the west side, it's between Blackpool South and Colne so... Colne?

Oooh, I'm not sure about that one Ivo, except to say I'm sure you didn't take it.......

Hey! I always provide my own shots! Unless Neil gives me one, which I always declare.

There has been some Ivo-special editing in this shot, if you want a clue - because no-one is right so far.

Well it surely isn't Blackpool South unless that recently got a canopy(!)

Canopy? What canopy? There is no canopy?

No, no and no. Just to remind people, this station is further south than York, the current furthest north I have photted. Unless non-railways pictures count (well, I have done the former tram display on Princes Street in Edinburgh but that's another story!)!

Closest guess so far? Not saying. What I will say is that this station has more than 500,000 uses every year, including interchange - and that it is somewhere in the area roughly cornered by Fleetwood, Chester, Buxton and Colne. Not that the second part of this information is of much use!

No. I have used this station either never or once (not saying which) before now, so it will not be my first "Tri-Station".

There is a reason I said "Wallgate" and not "Wigan Wallgate", because...

North Western is correct! Note the crafty removals of the canopy and OHLE :D
