Not that I count it as part of the north per se, which is what an upbringing in North East England does to you, but I am going to have a random and not entirely optimistic punt at Bolton.

That's why I said northern half rather than north, as different people have different perceptions of what north is. Selby is in the northern half, though not by much. The station in the picture, however, is in it by quite some way.
