Are we actually going to have a picture? I'm not putting up my special shot (which, I'm warning you, will be hard) until I win a turn.

Strines is controversial - wiki says 1973

I think we both know that Wikipedia is absolute rubbish. Don't know where you got Chirk from either.

Not so long ago, Wikipedia had the following on the page for Laindon (town, not station), at the bottom of the page as though an effort to hide it [apologies if this offends anyone; it's an exact quote, complete with exact grammar]:

"laindon was also voted pikey town of essex 2008"

I'm willing to trust you :D, although Chirk does cite a source. (watch the post counts climb ;))

Not mine either, won't last long:

Oh, I can. Plenty of places worse than Laindon in Essex (and that's saying something!). Based on what the term officially means, the correct answer should be Crays Hill, on the other side of the A127 to Basildon - which can (again based on the term's official, if derogatory, definition) claim the title of "pikey town of EUROPE". (Again, apologies for any offence caused.)

For the record, I would not have gotten Drumgelloch.

I'm going to take a break from posting pictures following my previous blunder! Well actually, I should pluralize that. More like blunders!

I seem to have toped the 'last 28 days' posting leader-board, as you pointed our earlier! :D

No and no (I might have a winner here)

You can practically hear the cogs turning!

The unit kind of looks like a Sprinter, but I really can't be certain. The best clue we have with regards to it is the colour scheme, which actually makes my previous answer a bit dim. On the assumption that we are looking at a Northern 156, I am going to choose Bryn.

Nay and no.

I'm enjoying this, so will leave to fester a bit longer...

We need a clue with this. It is a fine example but it's just too much to be able to get without some kind of inspiration (or local knowledge).

N.B.: Brundall is not a Northern station, hence my saying "change TOC"; it is on the Wherry Lines to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. I shall stick with NXEA for the moment and propose Hoveton & Wroxham.

Late EDIT: I've seen your edit, and I apologise if it sounded like I was being a bit "uppity", or similar

Is it a Sprinter though? If it isn't, I've led everyone astray

So all we know is that the train in the picture is not run by Northern or ScotRail. And presumably London Midland, CrossCountry, Merseyrail and a few others, because their colour schemes do not match.

How would the FGW-operated St Ives sound?

None on this sweep either. It's not NXEA....<D

Bear in mind it isn't mine, but this is lasting a long time!
