Guess the Station...

Gah!!! It's taken me 20 minutes to catch up on things and in that time you've called a station called Patchway. Yes, I would have had that! <(

I think that the Upwey answer adds to my argument that users should only submit their own photo. I too could tell that it wasn't a UK station, or if it was it was on the Tramlink. Even then though, the platforms were too high. And I've been through Upwey enough to know what it looks like, and that certainly didn't look like English Upwey! :)

Regarding Patchway, the "limited XC service" is a minor service between Cardiff and Bristol. The one time I should have been on it, it was cancelled! <(

I have a cheeky one for you (pushing the boundaries of fair)

If you get it but don't have anything, bear in mind I want this to last more than 2 seconds <D. Though it might not.

Here you are:

I always do, which is why sometimes the worst of my pictures get through because I have more pictures of the more "known" stations than the smaller ones.

(I think its Cambridge two, since it is getting another platform and would look something like that in the plans! - which those look like they are!)

Welwyn Garden City?

Why is that "pushing the boundaries of fair"?

- Actually, Danny makes a good point. Is that an artist's impression? I now agree on Cambridge; that had passed me by. It didn't look like that when I was there.

One thing that doesn't help your case is that a few of your pictures are on Wikipedia? Supposing someone "accidentally" lifted one of them for use here?

Yes, it's Cambridge (with CGI, so pushing unfair)

I waited to see if you guys would tear each other apart over the wrong number of platforms, but alas...

Over to Matt.

Both the pics I put up have been from the internet. Neither were by me. Just making that clear.

Cambridge? That looks like a CGI render of the new island platform to be built.

EDIT: Ah, too late, sudden rush of posts.

So it appears that we are now using pictures of stations from the future! I’m just waiting for Curzon Street HS2 to come up, I’ll have that one straight away!

I'd be worried if that second one was ;)

Should Matt declare an open floor, I'd like to claim it. Seen as I would have had Patchway (which had lasted for quite a while) and missed it virtually no time at all, only to see an open floor which I also missed...

Aaaahhhh, got to feel sorry for you ;).

It has been unbelievably quiet over the last 24 hours. I am not going to make a habit of nicking others' photos, so don't worry.

I should have flipped it as well as pixelating it <D

Having just trawled First Great Western several times, I'm giving this one a miss.

I that's right, that was astonishingly quick.
Wrong people wrong time.... ;)

I could have spent hours on this, doing a second Lymington....

I would have said Causeland (well, maybe not Causeland but Looe branch certainly) as well. And if correct, I'm calling the open floor (as above).

DavidBrown has it, look slike open floor.

That was Neilandrewhall's picture BTW.

He asked me to put one up as well (besides the Exeter one from before), but to be honest it's too easy. I got it in about half a second over MSN.

I expect this is too easy as well. Not including Neil's shot, this is my 49th, so something more special will be coming next time!

I knew you'd get that :(

My total has actually done during the last two days. Whether it stays that way is another matter.

And at this rate you and I will be (close to the) Top 10 by the end of May.

I know what I WANT to do for my 50th, but the day I took I couldn't find my SD card :( And I still haven't received my new camera cable

Save it for number 60 :)

Indeed, to be honest I don't think threads like these should contribute to your post count.

Photo up soon.

690 posts IIRC.

Just of note:
MattE2010 (Matt E as soon as I bump into Mojo/Max) - 20th highest poster
Ivo - 27th highest poster.

Here ya go, notice the contradictions. This station was unstaffed in 1974, obviously no-one bothered to tell Southern.

BMW World?

Never mind the camera cable, I fear my camera may be broken period  Something is rattling inside it and when I press the power button - which when the battery is dead would usually flash red - nothing happens.

Laugh all you want IVo, every 'comment' takes you gradually closer to mbonwick's total (i.e. the top 10).

OxtedL has it.

I'll give you a tenner if you can tell me the another three stations unstaffed in 1974.

Nope, that was staffed until the mid 90s by a local college.

You could have had any from Westhoughton, Strines or Ruabon...
