That's because it could be hundreds of stations anywhere on the network. Could even be my back garden if I went and bought a DMU stop sign on eBay and stuck it to my fence!

Anyway, I'll have a guess at Beeston. Floor open if correct.

Most station wouldn't have "DMU Stop" signs though, would they? They would be normal "X Car Stop" signs, and this is part of the challenge here.

Beeston is not correct. On that point though, why have the answers since I said "south of Nottingham" assumed that it means immediately south of Nottingham? I'm not saying it's not [it's not EMT though; remember that], but it seems a bit odd! *

Reading and Swindon are better answers on the grounds that they would have a genuine reason for having a DMU stop sign (HSTs; also EMUs at Reading). The same would have applied to Redbridge (EMUs) earlier.

No answers have as yet been correct. However, one answer has been within 25 miles of the correct station.

The Rhymney Branch used 37's and stock until recently, I would guess (just like the Harrogate line) the DMU stop signs would still be there?

A fair point, but I had assumed that such signs did not exist there and that there were instead "37+mk2" (was it mk2?) stops signs instead, as there are at Pembroke etc for HSTs.

This station is not served by any High Speed stock.

I was about to ask if Fareham even sees DMUs (considering one an hour passes through Bath - d'oh!)...

Westbury has HSTs.

At least one of the early guesses was within 25 miles.
This station is not managed by EMT.
It is south of Nottingham.
It has no high speed trains of any description.
It is not in the Southampton urban area.
There is a reason it has a DMU stop sign specifically.
NEW CLUE: This station is south of the M4.
NEW CLUE: The services that require the presence of the DMU stop signs are run by either SWT or FGW.
