Going to have to check whether any FGW trains call at both Newport and Slough now (out of curiosity). However it's all academic as TB has swooped in with the correct answer (London Paddington) like the big photo guessing eagle he is :D

For info the pic is from the stairs going to the overbridge from platforms 6 and 7. They've recently been painted making the Scunthorpe British Steel logo a little less noticable.

Thump, Thump, Thump. Noise of banging head on Class 175 table. Walked up those steps this morning.

Cardiff trains sometimes call at Slough on Sundays. Not Mon-Fri and Sat.
