Not Dunblane.

This might be an IC engine but it is not an IC train it is working.

This location has no IC trains but has them at both ends of the route.

Today this route had no loco hauled trains or HST but they serve the stations at both ends of the route.

Cleared for Brush, so south of Inverness (assuming it is on a service train). No IC services, thus ruling out the HML, Aberdeen-Dundee-Edinburgh. Thus leaving Perth-Dundee and Aberdeen-Inverness in that part of the world. I've eliminated Keith, some others have been eliminated. Huntly?

Dore, taken from the other side of the MML?

By the way, rather than editing your 'picture coming soon post', please could you make a new post as I initially missed the picture as the 'show new posts' button took me straight passed it. Thanks.

Judging by the length of the area along the top of the building you have brushed out, it must be that place on Anglesey that I wouldn't be ableto spell -

it looks a little like Garswood though not altogether convinced -although there seem to be bits of telltale yellow peeking through.
If I am right, feel free to go open floor as it'll be an hour or so before I can access my pics.

Just a quick update - I now have a pic ready to go, so retracting the open floor offer.

However, having re-studied Chapeltom's picture - I am having fresh doubts about it being Garswood owing to the waiting room detail I *can* make out. Fingers crossed, though :)

Cheers CT! Not that I pass it often (usually going the other way from St Helens), but when I do, I always think Garswood is a lovely little station on that line. The fact that the *waiting room* still looks like that (e.g. compare/contrast with the shelters at Tatty Heath, Huyton, etc) is really quite something!

Anyway, on to mine - apologies for the poor quality - it was one of those shots where even a a mobile phone with a reasonably good camera is outwitted by my unsteady hand and poor lighting. The motion blur on the MU is a happy accident; the motion blur on the station is an unhappy accident. Given the relative size/grandness of the station, the appearance of this unit itself *may* be sufficient to identify it. Sticking with Northern, I'm afraid to report I've had to take a temporary hiatus from my favourite 156 theme. Relax, I'll collect some more this weekend.

I expect this'll go quickly; so a bonus (TB) point if you can identify the platform :)
