How is that Grays? The bay is on the wrong side or are you posting negatives now ;)

It is not in reverse. It is Grays. I will post the image tonight without the station sign unobscured, no access to my photos at present. You are right though. I had not noticed that when I visited last year. The canopy has gone on the left as well. I was confused when I got there it did not seem familier and I can see why now. The station building is the same.

I believe you, but like you say, something's changed. The choice of 37888 was a very good one for you to post in negative BTW! ;)

In reply to "Crossforth"
It has the appearance of South East London and a station which looks familiar to me.
I have not time to get my thinking box into a higher gear as I am shortly going out for the afternoon so here are two starters-

first guess-- Greenwich
second guess- Maze Hill

As promised the unamended image.

In settlement of this disagreement with the location there is in fact no Grey area it is a Grays area.

Note sign on station building and on the poster.

It was a calculated guess.

Try this

I should say, although it may not look like it this is an NR station and it is still open today. It is not somewhere dodgy that has closed.
