That is definitely a Stagecoach 158/9 what else is in that livery wit a silver exhaust pipe. Everything else is electric.

311s were very similar to 303s. This was right at the end of service in 1990. The unit numbers followed on from the 303s. If I remember correctly they had slightly different traction equipment, but someone else will possibly know better than me.
