There is nothing in the picture that tells me it is south of the Thames dispite the lack of 3rd rail.

It's actually stationary at Ebbsfleet, as seen from just past platform 5. The sun washed out virtually all of the station

A Southern Electric Group railtour since around 1990 when the Thumpers were renumbered into the 6 digit numbering system.
Although showing a 48 headcode it is not one I immediately recognise so I would have to research it but as I am going out for several hours I will leave the field open for others to pick up these clues. Often during railtours they changed headcodes just for photographers so the number may be "off course".
There is little in the photograph for me to identify the location but with a juice rail and lineside electrical cables it says somewhere on the "Southern" .
My only wild guesses at this stage would be Swanley or St. Mary Cray
