The story behind this it was a BR run excursion from Lancaster to Aberdeen. The two in the front coach are more than likely residents of either Lancaster or Cumbria and are wearing suitable northern atire for a trip to Scotland.
As you can work out it was a typical day in June in Aberdeen. Pouring down.
The train was worked by 86413 to Mossend Yard and no 47 was sent to work the train so 37113 worked to Dundee via Forth and Tay bridges interesting with 12 Mk1s. The 37 was swapped at Dundee for 47614 which prompty failed in Aberdeen so 47231 was provided back to Mossend Yard for 86413 again.
