Slight misunderstanding. It was not your image it was someone else but the station looked very similar.

The style of station building rules out the South East or "down south".
It reminds me of North Staffordshire but cannot be sure.

That does remind me of Matlock's building, but it isn't. Agree it is well and truly a Staffs/Derbs area station... I think that is a yellow help point too on the bridge, Central Trains I think had them...

Nope, nothing, it ain't on Derby-Matlock or Derby-Stoke-Crewe :/

aye, i can confirm that it isnt Matlock, but i aint about to tell you where it actually is!

It can't be Crewe - Stafford area as these lines are electrified and I don't think is is Longport and definately not Blythe Bridge. I also don't think Uttoxeter has a station building.

I will have a go at Alsager (pre electrification)

I suspect it's not a recent picture; the grey line across the bottom of the name board is reminiscent of the short lived Network NorthWest idea.

I thought the sign was possibly NSE.

Very few stations were actually rebranded Network North West.

It is also none electrified which means very few options in the South East.

I just don't know. Oakham.
