Crikey that station has changed a lot then. I can see it now as well!

The station has not changed much. The angle you are looking at it is very unusual. The photo was from a train departing to the south and the engine is virtually against a buffer stop in a siding. The train from Birmingham had arrived very late and rather than running to Barrow it was dumped in the siding until the return working to Liverpool or Manchester. Can't remember.

Those sidings are still there and with the general layout in the ppic, I can see it is Lancaster
