Yes, it was Kingston. Kingston Town was opened in 1863, it soon became New Kingston to distinguish it from Kingston which then became Surbiton. In 1869 New Kingston was connected to the SWML and 'Old' Kingston became Surbiton. New Kingston became Kingston High Level until the Southern Railway raised the bay platform (in the picture) and the adjoining stations were unified to become the Kingston we know today.

Simple really.:D
