Guess the Station...

A further suggestion.

Do we also want to but a limit on confirmation of the correct station?

We have been left in limbo where we think we have the correct answer but have been waiting confirmation.

My suggestion is that if 3 people agree that is the answer then the first one to declare is on.

In the event of no one knowing the answer the one hour rule applies again from posting of the original image and the floor is open to whoever wants to post.

I can't remember which idiot started this very addictive game but it might be worth reposting a summary of the revised rules in full. Don't want to start a new thread as 127 pages is quite impressive and let's see how far we go.

I have just checked it was transportphoto. Up to you if you want these additions to the rules on page 1.

The rules are on the first page! People just need to stick to them.

This is the only image I've got here. I'm on my lunch break and my dwindling stash is at home. It probably falls foul due to not actually featuring any platforms, but then neither did Track Basher's shot of Attadale. I was standing on a platform (well, ramp....) when I took it though. It might be easy enough by a process of elimination TBF, but if nobody can get it quickly I'll pass over to someone who has something more suitable.

Long shot, but if it's in Belfast, would it be Melville?

I've never been to NI, by the way...

Edited to add: Oh hang on, I think I'm thinking of a road name near the railway...

There's no station called Melville, as you've clearly twigged! Nice to stump The Mugridge for once, but less satisfying that this can only be done by using somewhere he's never been before!

Ian has it correct though. Standing on the ramp at City Hospital looking back towards Botanic.

Ha ha....

The reason I was confused is that I have a mate over there who lives near one of the lines, so I automatically thought of part of his address....!!

Out of curiosity I just sent him the picture to see what he thought, as he never travels by train, and he thought Botanic from the background although he did suggest Great Vic rather than City Hospital.

Anyway....

That picture of 45305 - Bradford Interchange?

Botanic and City Hospital are only 1/4 mile apart. That church spire is actually closer to Botanic station.

Walsall is correct Sprinterguy

:D I'm at work, so I've only got one photo to hand that even vaguely fits the bill as an entry, but given that this thread has been keeping me amused throughout it's busy life so far even if I haven't been a regular contributor, and I fancy celebrating my victory, I'll post it up, though I don't expect it to last long:

Here you go:

I'm going to give an answer I've already given.

Shirley.

(Lol. Using the same one twice in succession!)

N.B.: If this is correct, as with my last guess 17 hours ago the floor is open. I have to go out soon. If, however, this is confirmed before 6pm, then I shall put one up and PM the answer to...

...any volunteers?

Second time lucky :D And once again, sorry about last night. As for "Shirley you can't be serious?" Are you John McEnroe in disguise?

Okey-doke then. I will give this 30 minutes, because I am going at roughly 6pm and will not be back for two hours. So I will need a volunteer to assume the challenge if it comes to that.
