I believe it has 8 platforms but Platform 7 is disused because of the third rail running along that side.

Was expecting this to last a wee bit longer than the first guess! Cross Gates it is! (must be a popular location!)
Surprised myself there! I'm usually pretty poor at immediately recognising a station but for some reason I'd memorised Cross Gates having just passed through or been on a train that's stopped there a couple of times!
