Well, that tower at the left of the picture looks remarkably like the one at Surbiton...

Yes, it certainly looks like the tower at Surbiton. The adjacent building is not there now but looks familiar. I travelled through there regularly from 2002 until 2015. Was that building removed during that period? Shows how observant I am.

Yes it is Surbiton. I would have taken the photo probably sometime between 1963 and 1967. I just about remember the tower block being built, probably in the late 50s. Don't know when it was demolished but I would have thought around 1980s or 90s rather than the early 2000s.
