I think it's in Northern territory judging from the colour of the sign on the right.

Very straight... so... wild guess to start with: Urmston.

Still all incorrect. South West Trains are the only operator that call here. Its also a recent photo so i dont think anything has changed in the photo.

In which case, I'm going to guess it as being on the 'Salisbury 6' (lack of electrification narrows it down a bit) and place it as Dean - when I travelled through the area last Christmas time I distinctly remember the non-SWT branding as they don't manage it despite they providing the only service

That signal post so far back on the platform also suggests there may be a level crossing which would also tie in

Correct! It is indeed Dean (on the Hampshire and Wiltshire border) which along with Mottisfont & Dunbridge is strangeley managed by FGW. And yes there is a full barrier level crossing. Your floor.

Ashchurch?

Correct - it is Ashchurch (for Tewkesbury) from the footbridge looking in the Worcester/Bromsgrove direction last Tuesday. I debated posting a photo the other way along that branch but without any platform in sight, I thought it may be a little too obscure
