West Ham is the only District line station I can think of with the correct layout for this picture to work. There is only one other, Putney, which comes even close - and even then the District doesn't call there.

So, we have a 150. Judging by the position of the person I would assume is the guard, it is in passenger service so not the Network Rail one. Which makes life easier. It has the more modern headlight clusters, so a fairly recent pic, so somewhere that 150s currently operate (or the Snow Hill lines). It is a fairly wide platform, and judging by the shadows has canopies, so not the smallest of shacks. These two obervations suggest it is an island. Let's try Worcester Shrub Hill.

I have a feeling it's Northern, as there's been FGW stations for the last two pictures, plus I can't find anywhere that fits for FGW or LM. (it's definitely not St Davids I'm afraid Peter).

I tried to disguise it as a 313 etc and probably would have had more success had I covered the headlight clusters (thanks clagmonster :roll. But it is indeed a 150, and I will add that wires are nowhere to be seen at this station - or anywhere else within at least 20 miles.

Also, this - as with all shots of mine in this thread, apart from a couple done for others - was self-taken, so my Route Coverage map should help. I have uploaded a new version because apparently I never got round to it before, so the version linked to is accurate.

For the Whitechapel one, I had thought it may be there...was there in the first few weeks of LOROL service and also thought it odd that the Underground runs over the Overground!

It may interest you to know that, among lines considered "sub-surface", the East London line had the deepest station, Wapping, at 18m. I am not sure about the height differences at Whitechapel, but I can say that I have heard this from many others as well!

You never denied it, so I am now wondering if Exeter St David's as suggested by Peter Mugridge could be it...

The fact that I claimed that "this might take a while" should indicate that Peter's answer, as with others, is incorrect.

As for your PM, I shall say the following (in public to be fair). The Route Coverage map I made is up-to-date as of July 2012, and has not been changed since. The most recent additions were part of the Freedom of the Severn & Solent Rover I undertook with bb21 and dcd last Summer. Otherwise however, I am giving no indications at this time as to whether the picture was taken on this tour, or even if it is within the Rover's validity.
