The photograph appears to be taken from a Voyager contraption. The lampost would appear to be VT red, so on the WCML or a branch of it and north of Cov.
I believe it is Stockport.

It could be anywhere. After all, I've seen that advert for Stockport Grammar School in the waiting room in Berney Arms.

185, a good spot, I did not see the Stockport Grammar School advert. If I had, I would probably have thought it a double bluff and overuled my instinct.

Next up:

To answer the inevitable query, this is a converted station building at a still open station on BR.

None of the above.

It is not on the Central Division of the Southern. 3 of the 4 answers are rather warm, the other isn't particularly cold.
