I couldn't believe those small looking signs could fit the station name on so I triple checked that this picture was actually taken at Crossmyloof!

I've also missed a page, it seems we are north of Dormans. The conurbation is home of something which is deemed worthy (or, possibly said company has paid Southern for the sign), to be put on the sign. I'll have a go at Selhurst.
