Plagiarising from Ivo, Chester-le-Street?

Plagiarism is bad news, my friend - as Matt has shown. Don't let us catch you doing it again!;)

I was going to say East Didsbury (not a clue why; Google shows it's clearly wrong) - but it looks like it's not necessary.

Everyone run away - it's Ivo time!

Actually, can you not? After tonight I don't when I'll be able to do one next  At least I'll have more material after the holiday though! :D

NOTE: I have made a slight alteration to the attachment. It is the same photograph however.

If you saw what was posted here, please it ignore it. Otherwise...

No. Not even close to be honest. It is in the right country though, which is one thing. This means you know that, unlike my last station which was specifically stated as not English, this one is in England.

I had to check where that is...!

Still same way off, but you have the right TOC.

EDIT: Actually, you do not have the right TOC. My bad. This error should limit the number of options available somewhat!

I thought it was operated by Northern, but - perhaps predictably - it is not. Where could one reasonably make such a mistake...?

Not Lea Road. It is on the right side of the country, but not exactly next door to the correct station.

Isn't anyone else going to give it a go, or is it just OxtedL and me again... :(

I don't think it's Malton.

(Posted before I saw what Matt said :))

Not Malton. Not a bad guess, but not exactly great. However, you do have the right TOC - and this time, I mean it. This won't last much longer.

I think I've ruled out the lines to Scarborough, Middlesbrough, Hull and Newcastle.

Try again. It is on one of those lines. But not Selby, or anywhere else that has been mentioned.

Oh, and not the line to Newcastle. There's no OHLE here.

It's not York-Scarborough.
I would be surprised if it were Howden.

I won't believe it's Thornaby, which means we've run out of stations? :?

Middlesbrough

Out of nowhere, a guy that hasn't posted in the thread for two months (I've checked ) has given the correct answer! He is local though :|

Middlesbrough it is, taken on the return trip of my Irish expedition back in May. On the next train I travelled on I had my ticket temporarily confiscated because the Conductor didn't believe it was valid until I showed him...

It looks surprisingly nice for M'boro, which probably goes some distance to explaining why that took so long.

N.B.: If you look carefully, you will notice that there are four tracks.

Oh wow...
Surely that's far too nice to be Middlesbrough?

The station at 'Boro has nice elements to it. In particular the old North Easter map on the main eastbound platform.

Oh christ sorry it took me so long to reply I completely forgot that I'd posted in this thread!!

(Hence my absence perhaps )

Anyway open floor (and if it takes me so long again then by all means carry on without me!).

As for Middlesbrough station, whilst the town itself might not be the nicest place in the world (though I don't think it entirely deserves its reputation) the station is very nice, plenty of original architecture in evidence both inside and out, and as clagmonster says it has a very nice NER tile map as well. Shame the Luftwaffe decided to carry out some renovations 70 odd years ago or it would still perhaps have an overall roof.

Some pics (not mine and not part of the game just as an example):

The Roof:

After the Germans:

And after those 'architects' in the 60s vandalised the place (thankfully that monstrosity has been removed leaving the original station revealed for all to see):
