I want it to be Lingfield, but can't think why.

Since I thought racecourse, I may as well say Ascot as well...

Interesting... my first thought was Lingfield as well, but I didn't post it as I thought the signage and lamp post look like the old Regional Railways colours...

So, we're in the South East. It looks fairly rural, and quite possibly a Thames Trains sign. Dorking West?
