Thank you very much.
I decided it was a junction station as I could see a colour light signal through the waiting shelter. But it could not be somewhere where there was RETB and Strathclyfe unlikely so I err'd South East Scotland. The idea it was a small yard grew on me when I saw Newton-on-Ayr as it felt unlikely there was a platform through the bushes (even though I see more and more overgrown platforms) !.
