Liverpool One was my first thought.

EDIT: I think class156 may be right here. I gave too much attention to the parts that don't matter

As if I missed claiming Preston

It's not recent though, pedestrian crossings have been built across the apron now.

As for #275... Loughborough?

Lol Nym ....to be fair, that's one place I've never taken a bus into.

Although worked several hundred trains into there maybe :)

One of the only places where we actually have something approaching integrated transport in this country!

Oh and like I said open floor...

Is that really post-deregulation? If it's not (and the NBC regalia has a distinctly pre-1986 - or at any rate not long after feel) I don't mind in the slightest, but it's not me who sets the rules... </killjoy>

No-one said the picture had to be post-deregulation! I only said that the physical bus station itself had to be in use on or after the 26th October 1986. I couldn't care if the picture was taken in 1950 so long as it meets this criterion! :p

As for the pic? Well, that could be loads of places. I can't help but think of the old Chelmsford bus station, even though I know it's wrong - it had reversing bays. I'm going to call... Plymouth. not a clue why; I really don't know.

Considering a move to Memphis
Well it's definitely not Coventry or Plymouth, and it can't be Bradford due to the colour of the buses !

As Ivo said, could be many of the NBC depot / bus station combos.

OK. I stand corrected! No idea where it is - it's really generic, austerity Britain! Bristol VRs were nice buses though...

The answer was Lincoln St Marks so well done martinsh (sorry I took so long to come back with the answer been out tonight). The picture was taken before de-regulation, but St Marks was still active after deregulation. I moved to Lincoln in 1992 and My Mum and Dad worked for Lincolnshire Road Car based at St marks before they moved to great northern terrace.

A Bristol VR followed by a Leyland National. Those were the days - the days that I can barely remember :(

I NEVER travelled on a VR in revenue service - and almost never a National. Plenty of Lynxes and Olympians though! :p

The next post will be #300. Good job guys :)

N.B.: I've made a slight modification to Post #1 to reflect the seeminglky pre-1986 picture. It now specifies that photos can date from any time.

Round this way we had VR's and Nationals until around the mid to late 1990's (think the last national went in 1998). a VR was a great ride on service 6 (Lincoln - Skegness) and service 10 (used to be Lincoln - Mablethorpe), had a National in about 1997 on X98 (Lincoln - Doncaster via Gainsbro') never ever again i couldnt hear for about a week after that, for me Nationals always sounded like someone was trying to kill them, maybe that was just the way Lincolnshire Road Car drivers handled them.
