Would you let a fellow rail worker travel on your train from another company(off duty)?

Put it this way I'm making a certain journey this weekend and some of my fellow workers have said go on you'll be ok.....

Unless there's a agreement between the two TOCs regarding staff travel then don't assume you have the automatic right to free travel as it's just a bonus if said guard allows you.

If there isn't such a agreement in place then ask before you board is always advisable, never assume because others get away with it you can as it can lead to travel passes being removed.

I'd say that most guards wouldn't say no unless you're a long way from home!
It never hurts to ask
