Someone was keeping count of the number of times the Guardian has had to apologise for incorrect articles in it's vendetta against News International.

I can't find it now but I think it was up to 38!

I take it you are aware of how the Mail downplayed Lawrence's death and the "politically correct" attempts to get justice for the family before it's 1997 conversion to the cause (and laudable "MURDERERS" headline)?

Someone was keeping count of the number of times the Guardian has had to apologise for incorrect articles in it's vendetta against News International.

I can't find it now but I think it was up to 38!

...that's nothing like 0.001% of the number of the number of apologies that News International ought to be issuing for shameful practices...

Daily Mail editorial (before they saw sense...)

A quotation out of context and disingenuously ignoring the fact that once again the Left were trying to turn it into a Political issue. I will leave you to ponder the cynicism of that.

I picked up the Daily Mail on a train last month, the first article I read was about the proposed part-purchase of the UK Air Traffic Control by a German firm. It was the biggest load of xenophobic rubbish I have read in a long while - littered with war references and snide remarks. All the signs of 'Little Englander Syndrome'. Needless to say I put it back down.

I have no allegiance to any paper, although I do read I every so often.

It was the biggest load of xenophobic rubbish I have read in a long while - littered with war references and snide remarks. All the signs of 'Little Englander Syndrome'. Needless to say I put it back down.

Yes sadly it has been like that since Dacre took over, but he was of course a big, big supporter of Gordon Brown and drove off many of the normal readers by his continued sucking up to Brown in the hope of some form of recognition.

I often read the Daily Mirror when I'm in the takeaway. The best they could come up with the other week was a long rant about all the things they thought Cameron might do in 2012.

And also this rather curious article about Cameron's "Fat Cat" friends getting knighthoods where evidently they ran out of space to mention that the honour was actually granted by an independent committee, and was in recognition of his charitable giving to Arts and Education (he is chairman of the Victoria & Albert Museum)

The Luftwaffe never managed it during the Second World War thanks to the heroism of The Few.
Now, seven decades on, Germany is once again plotting to take control of the skies over Britain… by the altogether more peaceful means of buying our air traffic control service.

Mentioning the war in the first sentence as well!

Read it - table 38 has posted a link. I mean a joke or two is fine in a certain section of a paper, but not going that far. It's supposed to be a serious publication?!

Never a word about the various Labour Donors who were given honours and Contracts though.

Of course it was once owned by Maxwell (a former Labour MP who took their pension fund) and who is still defended by some of the former hacks, including one red-haired one who is a bit like a Rottweiler in guard of his memory. It was also the paper whose reporters and editors were tipping shares which they had bought to its gullible readers, yet at the same time as running with the Party line that share ownership is all part of the nasty Capitalist running dog.

Hypocrisy or what.

Honestly the paper is not fit to use in the lavatory.

I think it was fairly obvious from that editorial (not a columnist, who may be expected to have strong views, but the editorial, which is meant to sum up the mood of the paper) that the Mail had a very different view of the Lawrence case before cynically realising the political capital that they could make out of it.

Still, more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repenteth, and all that...

I bought the Daily Express for 10 days to get a heavily discounted ferry ride to Ireland a few years ago! It's a bit like a slightly watered down version of the Mail, but they seem obsessed with their own little (crap) conspiracy theories (Diana, McCanns, Islamic extremists e.t.c). It's just not news.
