Guard eye test

bit of advice needed... I’ve been offered a job as a guard, pending medical next week. I wear contact lenses but I have one lens for distance and one for reading.. is this going to cause a problem for the sight test or should I revert to wearing my “normal” contact lenses. (I don’t wear my glasses ever).

I believe they will ask you to do distance reading with each eye separately, so if your 'reading' eye doesn't meet the distance minimum then I'd assume you wouldn't pass. Safer to wear normal contacts or glasses for the test I would think...

I sat my medical last week for conductor position and you are asked to read the chart with each eye individually.

I’d say normal contacts but it may be worth ringing HR with the query and ask the question to be sure.
